Patient's Responsibilities
- Patients are responsible of informing us about past illnesses, medications, hospital admissions and any other pertinent information.
- Providing Accurate Information: Patients must inform their GP about their entire medical history. This includes past illnesses, surgeries, medications (including over-the-counter and herbal remedies), allergies, and any hospital admissions. Accurate information helps the GP make informed decisions about your care.
- Update change of details: Patients should update their GP practice with any changes in their health status, medications, or personal details such as home address, email address, or phone number. This ensures that the practice can maintain accurate records and contact them when necessary. Patient should also inform the reception staff about their preferred mode of contact.
- Attending Appointments: Patients should make every effort to attend scheduled appointments. If you are unable to attend, please inform the practice as soon as possible so the appointment can be offered to someone else.
- Following Medical Advice: - Patients are encouraged to follow the medical advice and treatment plans provided by their GP. If you have concerns or do not understand the advice given, please discuss this with your GP.
- Respect and Courtesy: Patients should treat all staff and others with respect and courtesy. This helps maintain a positive and supportive environment within the practice.
- Engagement in Care- Patients are encouraged to actively engage in their healthcare, ask questions, and express any concerns they may have. This helps ensure that the care provided aligns with their needs and preferences.
- By fulfilling these responsibilities, patients can contribute to a more effective healthcare experience and support their GP in providing the best possible care.
